Instructions for residents

Door opening

The maintenance company can only open the door to the person registered in the apartment against proof of identity. If the resident has not submitted a move notification and their information cannot be found in the building register, the maintenance company is not permitted to open the door. When moving, it is also worth making sure that the apartment key has been delivered to the maintenance company. Door opening is priced as follows:
  • Weekdays 7:00–20:00 €40
  • Weekdays 20:00–7:00 €50
  • Weekends and public holidays €50
  • Moving and moving notification
  • Moving notification must be submitted to the maintenance company, the local registry office, the post office and the property manager.

Moving and notification of moving

A notification of moving must be submitted to the maintenance company, the local register office, the post office and the property manager. Notification of moving must be submitted to the local register office electronically at www.muuttoilmoitus.fi. A notification of moving submitted to the local register office or the post office will not be forwarded to the maintenance company. The tenant must submit it to the maintenance company separately by email or in writing at our office, so that the correct information is entered in the building records and the name is on the door/nameplate. The residents’ information is also needed for door opening and house register extracts. The Helsinki City Building Department can be contacted regarding any blocking of the street for the move. Permission must be applied for in good time.

Taking care of the apartment and common areas

The tenant must ensure that the apartment has the appropriate number, installation and functionality of fire alarms. The apartment’s floor drains and drains must be cleaned regularly (mechanically). If the cleaning measures are not effective, the maintenance company must be contacted immediately. Leaking radiators and plumbing fixtures must also be reported to the maintenance company immediately to avoid greater water damage. No items may be left in the stairwells, other public spaces or the waste room of the housing association (Section 10 of the Rescue Act), but everyone must deliver their items to the landfill or Sortti station themselves. Suspected fires must be reported immediately to the general emergency number 112.

Parking spaces and resident parking tokens

You can inquire about possible free parking spaces from the property manager’s office. A resident parking token can be applied for from the City of Helsinki’s Building Department.

Problems with the Internet connection and viewing of television channels

If the Internet connection is not working, you should contact your service provider (e.g. Elisa or DNA). If the television channels are not visible, you should first reset the modem to its factory settings. If that does not help, you should also contact your service provider.
